How do you ensure independence and fairness?
ResolveUs operates independently of your organisation and has no involvement in internal politics or decision-making. We follow consistent, defensible processes and focus on evidence, procedural fairness, and clarity at every stage.
How quickly can ResolveUs start work on a case?
Once scope and fees are agreed, ResolveUs can usually begin promptly.
Please note that you must have completed a Complaints Process Audit with us before we can undertake any investigation or appeals handling.
For organisations that have already completed an audit or are on a retainer, onboarding is typically faster.
What is ResolveUs and why are they involved in my case?
ResolveUs is an independent organisation brought in to handle investigations where fairness, consistency, or independence is important. Being external helps ensure the process is handled impartially and without internal influence.
Will ResolveUs decide the outcome of my case?
No. ResolveUs investigates the facts and produces a clear report with findings and recommendations. Decisions are made by the students’ union in line with its own procedures.
Why use an external investigator rather than handling cases internally?
External investigation reduces conflicts of interest, increases confidence in fairness, and helps protect the organisation when cases are complex, sensitive, or high-risk.
Are there any additional or hidden costs?
No. Fees are agreed in advance and cover the scope set out at the start. If circumstances change and additional work may be required, this is discussed and agreed before any further costs are incurred.
Is there a referral scheme?
Yes, ResolveUs offers a referral fee of 15% of the first project fee for introductions that result in a new paying client.
The fee is payable once the client has paid their invoice.
Referral payments apply only to the first project undertaken with that client unless otherwise agreed.
